Library Renovation Project Public Meeting

The Fairport Public Library began a space planning/renovation project last fall for our current Fairport Village Landing facility. The SWBR Architect firm has been engaged to review existing building condition studies and the library's Long Range Plan. The process also gathered current community considerations through public meetings and a survey, with added input about facility use and condition from library staff and trustees.

Copies of the Interim Report on the survey results and input from the community meetings can be found on the library webpage here, as well as an initial proposed layout and concept summary.

The initial work is complete with the architects' recommendations for an efficient reorganization and renovation of existing library space. A public meeting has been scheduled in the library on Wednesday, February 5th, at 7:00pm, where SWBR Architects will present their Draft Proposal for the Library Renovation Project. Details, proposed floor plans, and next steps towards a public vote will be presented.
