Participants will learn to search the Jobs database for opportunities, identify industries and companies of interest, how to attract the interest of hiring managers and grow your network.

Friday, January 24th,  2:00-3:30pm  OR   Friday, January 31st,  2:00-3:30pm

Bring your questions and notebook, tablet or laptop for a lively hands-on session. Learn by doing regardless of your skill level. This session addresses concerns with your LinkedIn profile, searching for people, companies, jobs and more.

Managing Your Career Transition & the Affordable Care Act

Tuesday, January 21st,    3:00-4:30pm

This workshop will address many financial issues related to job transition including funding medical expenses, potential tax deductions for job seekers, and premature retirement plan distribution rules. It will also cover the Affordable Care Act, the NY State Health Exchange and help with enrollment. With Lizz Ortolani.

Networking, LinkedIn and Referral Gathering

Friday, February 28th,    2:00-3:30pm

Job seekers will learn basic "sales" and people skills that will cultivate the names of potential HR people and decision makers. It will also discuss some creative out-of-the-box strategies on how to best utilize LinkedIn to broaden your referral and professional network. 

Registration begins January 31st.
