June 10th

Learn when and why to use a Chronological or Functional resume. This workshop will put emphasis on the summary of qualifications, accomplishments, proper format and identifying transferable skills.

July 8th

The creation of a marketing plan provides focus for your job search. This workshop will take you on a guided tour of how to create a target list of companies using LinkedIn and other online tools.

This workshop is about taking time to reflect on your own stories and how to share those stories with others. Its focus will enable you to be more comfortable with job search interactions, interviews and networking.

Managing the Financial Aspects of Your Job Transition

Tuesday, June 20th,  3:00--4:30pm

This workshop will address many financial issues and concerns directly related to someone in job transition. It will cover creative ways to fund medical expenses, potential tax deductions for the job seeker, premature retirement plan distribution rules and ways to avoid penalty, the effects of the Affordable Healthcare Act  on your taxes, and what steps you should be taking to secure your finances during the job search.

Networking, Referrals and Getting  a Yes

Monday, July 15th,  3:00--4:30pm

Learn how to cultivate skills of persuasion when calling potential referral sources or HR people. This workshop will also address ways to find names to call on, positive mindset and goal setting.
