First, I am very grateful for all the support I have received from many who have responded with prayer and finances. It is very encouraging to know that there are so many in the Body of Christ standing with us as we go through this difficult time. May the Lord thoroughly bless you for your faithfulness!
Well, I am now about four weeks into the six week course of radiation to try and reduce the tumor activity on my neck, which has affected the use of my arms and hands.
Fortunately, I have regained some, but by no means full use of my hands. However, the main purpose of this treatment is to reduce the accompanying pain, which has been really debilitating, to say the least! It is still difficult to bear, but I'm hoping it will diminish. Pray with me for that!
In the last couple of days, there have been some complications from the nausea associated with the radiation and the pain killing drugs that has caused all the muscles around my abdomen to go into spasm, severely restricting movement due to intense pain. So I am bed-bound for now and hoping that the rest will reduce the pain.
I am also struggling to maintain my appetite and weight, and have lost a few more pounds since I last wrote to you a little less than a month ago. This is not good! Please pray fervently so I can build myself up again to counteract possible fatigue and other potential dangers.
In light of all this, I have had to suspend all ministry activity for the past month and ongoing!
As I'm sure you'll understand, this makes us completely dependent on God for all the provision that would normally come from our preaching endeavors.
But...
* Every day I thank God for the good and the not-so-good, and I am grateful to Him for every opportunity that these circumstances may bring to give honor and glory to His name.
* No matter what happens, can we say like Paul said to the Galatians concerning his testimony, "...because of me, they praised God!"
So, I'm still believing for my miracle!
