Sunday School Buddies Needed
We are happy to say that our SS Buddies ministry, is growing! We are in need of more volunteers to assist school age special abilities children during 9:45 AM Sunday School. Volunteers serve one Sunday a month, the same week each month. During this hour, you are there to be an extra pair of eyes for the parent, assist with tasks if needed (cutting, gluing, etc.) and just enjoy the time with the child. Our immediate need is for two people to be assigned the 2nd week of the month starting in February. If you would like to be a substitute only, there is also a place for you! If you would like to serve, please contact Joyce King at fumcdt@gmail.com. Read more about our Helping Hands ministries at www.firstmethodistgrapevine.org/helpinghands.

15 & 15 Daily Devotional Make a new commitment to daily reading and prayer this year! Spend 15 minutes in prayer and 15 minutes reading scripture each day. Get a jumpstart with our daily devotionals, written by the pastors to correspond with the previous Sunday's sermon, on the 15 and 15 blog.
Prayer Room Testimonials by Prayer Room Volunteers We have now had a number of people spend time in our prayer room during our worship services. Today's Spiritual Formation blog post shares some of their testimonials. Julie Croft shares, "I can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in the room. I love being able to be there, and be still, and know that God is present. I love the hand cross, the feeling of wrapping my hand around it, while I pray for those on the wall, those on our prayer list, and the ministries and Pastors and staff at our church. I always walk out feeling in awe of our wonderful Lord." Keep reading...

Caught Caring...
KAH Volunteers
Thanks to all that volunteered for Kids Against Hunger! It was a great time and a great success. We had 222 volunteers and made 27,648 meals that this year will be going to those in need in Mexico. Also, a big thank you for all the Iron Men that showed up at 8 AM to help unload the truck!
We had an AWESOME turnout last week with 15 people donating whole blood. Your donations are instrumental in saving the lives of 45 patients! Carter BloodCare has asked that we share their appreciation for your continued support. Their expectation of a typical drive is 8 units, and we had 15 this time! Thanks to you all for another successful blood drive.
Bishop William Bishop William Muriuki was recently installed as Bishop of Uganda! You may recall that Bishop William was formerly bishop in the area of Kenya where we first started connecting with our "Villages" concept. Please continue to be in prayer for Bishop William as he takes on this new role.
