Holy Vessels: Brokenness and Wholeness
Each of us is created to be a precious vessel of God's love. Sometimes, we experience hurt or circumstances that bring a sense of brokenness into our lives. One of our goals as a church is to help individuals and families to find wholeness in the midst of this brokenness. Starting on November 8, we will have a series of sermons and opportunities to allow us to focus on the church's response to mental health. More about worship...

UPDATED Neighbor Needs
Thank you to all who have helped our new neighbors with your donations. There is a new need for an adult bicycle for the father to enable him to get to work. They also need a sleeper sofa. If you have either of these items to donate, contact Diane Bishop directly at dianebishopdbd@gmail.com or 817-239-5298. Visit our Sign-Up Genius link for a full list of items needed and to sign up.

Nursery Need
The Nursery Ministry is in need of evacuation cribs for our baby classrooms. These are special types of cribs that can hold several small children and be wheeled out of the building in case of emergency. We have been blessed with lots of new babies in our church family, and while we hope to never need them, these new cribs will provide safe transport for them should we need to leave the building quickly. If you are able to give a contribution toward the purchase of the cribs, please mark "Nursery" in the memo of your check or online gift. Questions? Contact Nursery Director Monica Vickery at monicav@fumcg.org or 817-481-2559 x145.

Caught Caring

Wade Hiney
Wade Hiney, leader of the "Bread of Life" ministry, was caught caring on Sunday as he served communion to some church members and residents of Dancing River Assisted Living in Grapevine. Wade has been a faithful provider of this service for more than 8 years. If you are interested in learning more or participating in this wonderful ministry, please contact Miriam Ward at 817-488-1650 or at m-i-ward@juno.com.

Thanks to all the generous donations by the congregation, the tweens were able to pack more than 50 Operation Christmas Child boxes. They also made over 30 cards for our military serving overseas during their Merry Halloween party last Friday.

Spring Creek BBQ in Grapevine was Caught Caring... they will be presenting a check for $700 to us from the fundraising night we had in October! Proceeds will go to our Gala beneficiaries.
