In Worship This Sunday
This Sunday, October 18, we will begin our fall focus on stewardship. Rev. John Mollet will deliver the message in the English services, and Rev. Armando Alvarado in the Bilingual service. More about worship...
Stewardship 2016
In 2016, we will celebrate 150 years since the charter of our church. That's 150 years that faithful church members have given of their time, talents, witness and funds to make FUMC Grapevine an active and thriving part of the community. For 2016, we ask that you consider how you can commit to "give 150" through your prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness. That may look different for each person... you may be able to increase your pledge by $150 a month or year. You may want to commit to pray for 10 minutes a day for 15 days up until Commitment Sunday, October 25. You may commit to give $1.50 a day more to the work of the church in 2016. You may dedicate 15 minutes a day to prayer and 15 minutes a day to reading scripture. You may commit to reflect on 150 ways that God has blessed your life. You may dedicate 150 days of the coming year to some type of service or work that helps others. Whatever your commitment to "Give 150" means to you, the decision you make now will affect the next 150 years of ministry at FUMC Grapevine. We ask that you "Give 150" to seed these next 150 years! Be a Guest Volunteer at Be Our Guest Neighborhood Meal
You heard John telling in his sermon on Sunday some special outcomes from this precious outreach dinner we offer to our neighbors on the third Tuesday of each month. "My favorite night of each month," one guest said. We've watched some of our youngest guests grow up through the years, still enjoying this monthly meal with their families and little brothers and sisters. Senior citizens look forward to seeing their dear friends and sharing a home-cooked meal together. Cindy Ryan has even performed a marriage for a couple who met through our dinner! We would love for each of you to experience this for yourselves, and this Tuesday is your chance to do so!  Keep reading...

God Moments Part I
Recently my husband and I went out for a casual dinner and we found God met us there. As some may know I have several degenerative discs which have resulted in significant pain despite a number of surgical and medical interventions. Typically I awaken to pain which intensifies throughout the day. This particular evening I was commenting to my husband that I longed for a solution to my pain and I began to shed a tear in my discouragement.
