TELESEMINAR HOSTS

Pete
Pete Kennedy is an attorney in Sarasota, Florida and serves as the President of the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund (www.farmtoconsumer.org) and Vice President of the Foundation. He works on dairy issues, particularly, the right of farmers to distribute raw milk and raw milk products direct to consumers. Each week he helps members of the Fund with cow- or goat-share operation start-ups. The Raw Milk Nation Map was derived from Pete's compilation of the original state raw milk laws and state raw milk summaries posted at www.realmilk.com. He is currently working with others to challenge the federal ban on the interstate shipment of raw milk for human consumption [see information about the lawsuit against FDA, posted at www.farmtoconsumer.org/litigation-FDA.htm].

Sharon

Sharon Wilson owns and operates a goat herd share in Colorado (Natural Choice Dairy, LLC) and currently serves as Treasurer of the Raw Milk Association of Colorado (RMAC). As a Board member of RMAC, she has been helping to create test standards for goats along with product standards and recommended process standards. Sharon has been consulting other potential goat share operations in and out of state for the last six years.

Tim

Tim Wightman is a lifetime farmer and serves as the President of the Foundation and was a founding Board member of the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund. He pioneered CSAs, organic cooperatives, farmers' markets, the cow-share program and the farm-share program while living in northern Wisconsin. Tim operated a small raw milk dairy in western Ohio but now lives in New Hampshire. He consults worldwide with dairy farmers on cow shares, raw milk safety and direct marketing and is the author of the Raw Milk Production Handbook and the presenter in "From Grass to the Glass - Chore Time" DVD. ABOUT FTCF

The Farm-to-Consumer Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization created to expand public awareness about sustainably farmed food, increase choices and access to local sources, and support small family farms growing and raising these foods.  We do this through educational and charitable activities.

Our education programs raise consumer awareness about the value of fresh,
local and non-toxic farm-produced foods.  We also teach farmers proactive strategies to avoid harassment by local, state and federal government
interference with food production and on-farm processing.
