A Fun Way for You to Support the Fleet

This year the Fleet is trying something different for our annual fundraiser: The Non Gala Experiment! It's for everyone who loves science and wants to support the Fleet's mission of science education but without the expense and fuss of attending an actual gala. Instead, you can support the Fleet from the comfort of your own home!

The Fleet has offered up eight fun, interactive science experiments you can do at home, share on social media and use to encourage your friends to support the Fleet, too. The first four are available on the website now. The next four become available after making a donation of any amount.

All donations, big or small, are appreciated. All funds benefit the Fleet's nonprofit mission of inspiring science learning. Visit us now and join the Non Gala Experiment! More>>

Grab a Pint and Learn
What is Suds & Science? We pick one of our favorite purveyors of fine brews, invite a learned scientist to join us and ask this scientist to share what they know. After the short talk, everyone can join in for questions and conversation around the topic.

This month we welcome Dr. Dan Cartamil from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography to explain the science of desalination and discuss the potential environmental impacts on the ocean and our shorelines. Do the benefits outweigh the costs? More>>

Wavelength Brewing Company, 236 Main St., Vista, CA 92084.

Wednesday, June 10, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Bring your friends because the talk is free!
