Science Under the Big Top Rolls Into the Fleet! |
Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls! The circus is coming to the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. This is your chance to enjoy the science behind the spectacle as CIRCUS: Science Under the Big Top debuts on Friday, May 1.
Every feature in CIRCUS: Science Under the Big Top is designed to teach visitors about science in a fun, interactive way. Strap into the harness for the Elastic Acrobatics exhibit to learn about physics as you practice your favorite trapeze tricks. If you dare--and you're 46 inches or taller--test your balance by walking across the 20-foot-long High Wire, six feet above the ground. Experiment with angles and thrust on the Human Cannonball exhibit, play with hand-eye coordination at the Juggling exhibit or just have fun clowning around at the Circus Costume Station. This exhibition has something for everybody! More>>

Meet Scientists at Your Favorite Pub
|
Chosen by San Diego Magazine as one of the "27 Reasons to Love San Diego," Two Scientists Walk Into a Bar is a fun community program organized by the Fleet. We send 50 scientists out to 25 bars all over San Diego County to enjoy a beer and conversation and answer any questions you may have about science.
Our scientists will be easy to spot. They'll be next to a sign that says, "We're scientists, ask us anything." The full list of bars is on the website, plus listings of the specialties of each participant so you can be sure to visit the scientist best suited to answer your questions. More>>
