Blast off into a new realm of space exploration at the Fleet! Our new Giant Screen film, Journey To Space, explores the space program, from the first orbit around the Earth to future missions to Mars. Witness rockets blasting off, life aboard the International Space Station (ISS) and the technology being developed that will enable humans to survive on Mars.

Experience the Magic During Spring Break |
Jason Latimer is back! The World Champion of Magic will astound San Diego audiences once again as he returns to the Fleet with his special blend of science and illusion. Best of all, he'll be performing his live show, Perception: See Beyond the Illusion, daily throughout spring break, March 28 to April 5.

The Thrill of Science After Hours |
Join the Fleet for a new nighttime event for the 21+ crowd as we host the Fleet Night of Science: The Thrill of Science. Take part in hands-on demonstrations, attend a brief lecture on the neuroscience that drives adrenaline junkies and learn about the thrilling things the San Diego science community is up to. Food and adult beverages will be available for purchase and attendees will have full access to all the Fleet's exhibit galleries. More>>

Rock in the Park: Berkley Hart Selis Twang |
West Coast country-rock meets bluegrass-styled Appalachia with Berkley Hart Selis Twang, the fourth headliner in the Fleet's Rock in the Park concert series. Featuring the union of two stalwart San Diego musical acts, Berkley Hart and Eve Selis, the new group features beautiful melodies and three-part harmonies to entrance audiences with a new yet familiar sound. Sleepover at the Fleet |
What's better than coming to the Fleet for Spring Break? Spending an entire night at the Fleet!
From Saturday, April 25, to the morning of Sunday, April 26, the Fleet hosts a special Science Center Sleepover. This night of fun includes exploration of all the "do touch" interactive exhibit galleries, a show on the Giant Dome screen, fun hands-on educational workshops and a scavenger hunt in the science center. Price is $55 per child, parent and/or guardian. Registration deadline is April 3 so sign up now!
Check in between 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 25. The sleepover lasts until 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 26.

Science Fun When School is Done |
Keep the kids learning all summer with the Fleet's Summer Science Camps! Explore outer space, engineering, chemical reactions, robotics, computer programming and dozens of other topics!
We have camps for pre-kindergarten kids through 8th graders. There are weekly full-day and half-day camps, plus camps can be coordinated with more than one institution in the park.

Tinkering Studio on the Move |
The Tinkering Studio had a great run in the main gallery! Fun projects were created and new friends were made. Now it's time for the Tinkering Studio to return to its usual spot in the southwest corner of the building by Cellular Journey.
If you were introduced to the Tinkering Studio for the first time recently, we'd love to see you again after the move. All the fun games and projects will be there waiting for you.
The Tinkering Studio will close temporarily beginning Sunday, April 12, and will re-open in its regular location next to Cellular Journey on Saturday, April 18. More>> |
