Don't Try This at Home... Really |
The Fleet brings an exciting new addition to our exhibition floor. Don't Try This at Home features all the loud, messy and shocking science experiments you can't do at home as performed by our own Fleet Science Show demonstrators. Watch the chaos of a roll of toilet paper combined with a leaf blower, see bananas get used as hammers and witness an epic ping pong ball explosion!
Starting January 31, you can try your own messy, loud and shocking experiments when we debut the Tinkering Studio: Don't Try This at Home! We'll provide more tools, more supplies and more inspiration to maximize your tinkering fun. More>>
Be the first to see it! Don't Try This at Home opens Saturday, January 17.

Final Days for ILLUSION and Genome |
To make room for Don't Try This at Home, the Fleet must bid farewell to two popular traveling exhibitions. Come explore the human genome with us in Genome: Unlocking Life's Code, through Sunday, January 4. The last day for ILLUSION: Nothing Is As It Seems is Monday, January 19. You only have three weekends left to test the many ways our minds are fooled by sensory deception.

PERCEPTION Vanishes This Month |
Our resident illusionist and World Champion of Magic has been busy! Jason Latimer has been a staple on the popular Syfy show Wizard Wars, on top of touring all over the country to perform his special brand of science and illusion. His popular live show, PERCEPTION: See Beyond the Illusion has been dazzling Fleet audiences since July, but it's time for him to disappear. Come see the show while you can. PERCEPTION ends Monday, January 19.

Creating Young Scientists |
Start your kids thinking like scientists early! The Young Scientist program at the Fleet introduces children ages 3-5 to concepts like how the body works, from bones to brains, in a way that sparks young minds. Parents participate in the program too, so everybody can share in the science together!
The next session begins on Thursday, January 8.
