Final Days! GUITAR and On the Fly
Don't miss your last chance to strum the giant (43.5 foot!) guitar or see unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) soar inside the galleries. Catch GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked the World and On the Fly before they close Sunday, April 6. Featuring 60 instruments, nearly 100 artifacts and 15 interactive exhibits, GUITAR explores the science of sound and history of the world's most popular musical instrument, while On the Fly takes visitors to new heights, delving into aerodynamics and flight technology. Nano Day

Celebrate the science of the small! The Fleet will provide a range of exciting hands-on activities that allow you to investigate the miniscule world of atoms, molecules and nanoscale forces, as well as give you the chance to examine tools used by nanoscientists. Activities are free with paid admission. More>>

Saturday Science Club for Girls

How small is nano? In conjunction with Nano Day, explore big ideas related to nanoscale science, engineering and technology. Girls in fifth through eighth grade can join the Fleet on the second Saturday of each month to investigate exciting science topics. More>>

Dome Discussion

Composer Steve Wood has been scoring films for MacGillivray Freeman Films for more than four decades and has worked on numerous IMAX® films, including Dolphins and Everest. Hear Wood speak about his storied career and his creative process for enhancing films with music. After the discussion, enjoy a special evening screening of Journey to the South Pacific. More>>

IMAX en Español

Each month, IMAX en Español provides an opportunity for you and your family to enjoy IMAX films in Spanish. In April, IMAX en Español presents Journey to the South Pacific on a special date and special time: Sunday, April 13, at 5 p.m. Visitors are welcome to explore the exhibit galleries before or after the film (the science center closes at 7 p.m. on this day). Game Changer: How a Computer Game Can Turn You Into a Real-Life Hero
An online game, Foldit, is changing the future of disease prevention and treatment. Join Brian Koepnick from the University of Washington, as he talks about the science behind Foldit, how the game works and what new discoveries have been made by its players. This is a special Suds & Science event in partnership with the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and will be held at Southpaw Social Club in downtown. Extended Spring Break Hours
Extra daylight hours plus spring break means more time to enjoy the Fleet! From March 28 through April 20, the Fleet is extending its hours till 7 p.m.*, giving you extra opportunities to explore the exhibits or take in an IMAX film.
