Concert Under the Dome

World-famous guitar quartet, The Romeros, will perform an exquisite live concert in the Eugene and Marilyn Jacobs Heikoff Giant Dome Theater on March 1. Following the event, enjoy coffee and dessert and a chance to meet the musicians. This event is a fundraiser for the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center (we're a nonprofit organization) and our science education programs. Support the Fleet and enjoy an incredible concert in a unique setting. More>>

Family Science Saturdays Return

Family Science Saturdays are back!

Each Saturday in March, join us in the Tinkering Studio to explore the science of sound with activities inspired by our fantastic GUITAR exhibition. Learn more about how sound travels, create your own instruments or form an impromptu band with your family and friends. Activities are free with paid admission. More>>

Final Two Shows for Rock in the Park

Our Fleet live concert series concludes this month with two fantastic shows. On March 7, catch vocal wizards Venice with guest Michael Tiernan. On March 21, rock with Steve Poltz of The Rugburns and guest Michael Tiernan. Enjoy food by The French Gourmet for purchase; beer, wine and cocktails at the no-host bar; and the Fleet's exhibits open for exploration. More>>

It's Electric!

In March, preschoolers will investigate energy through the Fleet's Young Scientists program. The four-week session stimulates scientific exploration by curious kids ages 3 to 5 and a parent. Attend weekly on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. More>>

Siri, Will You Marry Me?

Suds & Science explores the reality of the movie Her with Professor Rajesh Gupta from UCSD. He'll discuss information gathering, learning algorithms and technology. This Fleet event is held at Callahan's Pub & Brewery in Mira Mesa. Suds & Science is free, but registration is encouraged. More>>

Celebrate With the Festival of Science and Engineering

The Fleet is a proud silver sponsor of the San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering. The Festival is from March 15 through 22, and the Fleet is participating in several Festival events, including STEAM Family Day on March 16, Astronomy Night on March 18, Two Scientists Walk Into a Bar on March 20 and Expo Day on March 22. STEAM Family Day
Come to Balboa Park on Sunday, March 16, and let off some STEAM while exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math! STEAM Family Day is a park-wide event with free activities outdoors and additional indoor activities included with museum admission. Outside on the Prado, stop by the Fleet's booth to test your skills at cleaning the ocean. Inside the Fleet's Tinkering Studio, explore the science of sound. There, you can explore ways to make your own kind of music using items found around the house. In our Theater Lobby, you can check out everything from cooking to cars, thanks to San Diego's Makers. Spring Into Camps

The Fleet's fantastic Spring Camps start in March, and registration has already begun. Choose from daily camps or a full week of science exploration. Grades 1-4 can launch into Spectacular Space, while grades 3-5 can click into Computer Programming Camps. Call (619) 238-1233 ext. 806 to register for Spring Camps. More>>

Your Fleet membership card is valid at science centers around the world. Check your destination for a science center and take your Fleet card along. Free admission to other science centers is just one more reason that Fleet membership is a great value all year long.
