Bigger Bluer Skies
Santa Monica's own Big Blue Bus is now one of the first municipal transits in the country to convert to renewable natural gas (RNG). RNG is considered the cleanest transportation fuel available. With lower emissions, Blue Big Bus is paving the way for Bigger Bluer Skies.

The Arthur Murray Dance Center

The Arthur Murray Dance Center is the first green certified dance studio in Santa Monica. The company's manual includes environmental and sustainable policies that are put into action.  The studio uses green office cleaning supplies procurement and reduces landfill waste by stocking reusable plates, cups and silverware. Complimentary coffee is served in reusable mugs along with refillable dispensers for sugar and creamers.  They also replaced aerosol air fresheners with gel and non-petroleum citrus mist alternatives.

Arthur Murray took pains in designing a green studio space.  To promote healthy indoor air and cut energy demand, they installed a large fan in the studio that circulates and cool down air.  The dance floor is simply cleaned with a cloth dampened by water and the walls are painted using zero VOC paint throughout the studio so students can breathe in non-toxic air while dancing.
