A Load of Whale Sitings in Our Waters
Be Whale Aware

An unusually high number of gray whales, fin whales, humpback and several species of dolphins, including orcas, have been recently recorded by the Ocean Conservation Society research team just a few miles off Los Angeles.

Although Angelinos want to get up close, please respect these animals while viewing them from a distance. Whales and dolphins are protected under the Marine Mammal Protection Act and boaters and whale watchers need to pay careful attention when approaching whales.
