Honey Pot Day
The Bay Foundation and the San Francisco Estuary Partnership Boater Education Program are bringing back Honey Pot Day, running this year from June 1 to August 31!
This successful program, launched in 2009, offers boat owners a convenient option to properly dispose of sewage by providing them with a free mobile sewage pumpout service. Honey Pot Day not only aims to provide the necessary service for boaters, but also to educate and foster relationships between the mobile pumpout companies, marinas, and yacht clubs.
Boat owners from the San Francisco Bay-Delta, Marina del Rey, King Harbor (Redondo Beach), Port of Los Angeles, and Port of Long Beach are all invited to participate.
To sign up, please visit www.honeypotday.org where you will be instructed to take an online quiz, watch a video on how to operate a sewage pumpout station, and read three publications by the California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways.
