FMI Happy Hour with Rob Dunlop

Washington Filmworks is pleased to promote the July edition of the FMI Happy Hour and our special guest this month, Rob Dunlop, President and CEO of KCTS 9.

At the Happy Hour, Rob will address how the media industry is encountering disruptive forces, which are upending traditional methods of content creation and distribution. Public television, like all traditional media, is charged with redefining itself for new generations of media consumers. Rob will explore the media environment and how KCTS 9 (PBS) is adapting to create long-term sustainability. Join us tomorrow at 5pm, July 29, for this exciting event and conversation!

Olympic Peninsula and Snohomish Location Scout

This past month, Production Services Coordinator Krys Karns took two location-scouting trips to the Olympic Peninsula and the City of Snohomish. These trips were inspired in part by the tremendous interest in these areas from local and national production companies. The goal of these trips was to become familiar with the areas and scout film friendly locations to obtain photos for our Reel Scout online location database, a resource we use to showcase the diversity of locations in Washington State.
