An Update from the Advocacy Committee 

In light of the opening of Legislative Session, read an exclusive update from WashingtonFilmworks' Advocacy Committee, led by co-chairs James Keblas and Lance Rosen. They discuss the significance of fighting to increase our production incentive cap, knowing your legislators and district, and figuring out how to muster up support in Olympia.

 

Washington Filmworks announces the return of the Innovation Lab and the dates for the 2015 Spring Cycle! The program invests in the future of film by capitalizing on Washington's creative community and artists while encouraging original storytelling that uses new forms of production and technology. The application window opens February 23!
Commercialize Seattle Latest Work 
Commercialize Seattle downloads with Dell! Congratulations to Attackships on Fire, a production company based in Seattle. They are now featured in the Latest Work section of Commercialize Seattle. This business development campaign is designed to drive production and advertising to the region and the Latest Work section of the Commercialize Seattle website showcases some of the very best commercial work coming out of Seattle and Washington State.
         
Washington Filmworks interviews Scilla Andreen, the co-founder and CEO of IndieFlix - the "Netflix of Independent Film," dubbed by Variety. We discuss the history of the Seattle-based company, the digital revolution, and where IndieFlix is headed amidst the availability of films online. This business profile continues to shine some insight on the world of expanding digital content.
