The Washington Filmworks (WF) Board of Directors recently approved funding assistance for 3 commercials. These projects are a direct result of the Commercialize Seattle initiative, a business development campaign that's garnering national attention. Since 2007, WF has distributed or committed funding assistance to 95 Standard Program projects and 6 Innovation Lab projects, creating an economic impact of $241 million. That's exciting!

Attention Washington State Film Industry: WF has launched our Annual Jobs Survey! New this year is a VENDOR SURVEY designed for businesses that support motion picture production.
The information from these surveys helps us better define why film is important in Washington State. The data collected paints a picture of how our local film professionals create their careers and highlights the important contributions our industry makes to the larger creative economy. Whether you work freelance, own a production company, or manage a film support services company, please take five minutes to take this survey! CELEBRATING THE KEBLAS ERA
A community celebration of James Keblas' nine-year-legacy will be held tomorrow evening, Wednesday, February 26. The celebration is at Showbox at the Market in Seattle. There will be special guests and live performances. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Performances start around 7 pm. The event is free, open to the public, and for guests 21 and over. Book your babysitter.
