ACADEMY PROGRAM NEWS AND UPDATES

 

Register Now for Spring!  Deadlines Approaching

Note:  The Academy Festival date has been changed from 5/23 to 5/30.

 

 

     

Summer Camps 2015

    

Academy Summer Camps for ages 4 -8

June 15-18
and July 16-19
Mornings from 9-11 at 
A Herr Park.
 
Creative Soccer Games and Activities. Camp will focus on a positive learning experience thru creative soccer fun and games. Players will be challenged and will love the activities offered! Instruction by Penn Legacy Academy Director Gary Ross and qualified staff.     

 

REC PROGRAM NEWS AND UPDATES

 

"Meet the Team" nights will be held:

  • Monday March 23rd for U10 Boys at 6pm, U12 Boys, U15 Boys, U19 COED at 7pm
  • Tuesday March 24th for  U10 Girls at 6pm, U12 and U15 Girls at 7pm.  

All Meet the Team sessions will be held at LANCO Fieldhouse.

 

 

Practices & League Games

 

Regular practices start the week of March 30, 2015

 

Girls League games begin - Sunday, April 12, 2015

 

Boys League games begin - Saturday, April 11, 2015

 

 

 

 



   

PREMIER/TRAVEL PROGRAM  NEWS AND UPDATES
 
Team Tryouts begin 4/10
Travel/Premier soccer team tryouts start on April 10th and run through the end of April. The tryouts are for both boys and girls in the U9 through U19 age groups.

Tetra Brazil camps and Seamus's Got Skills? camp will again be hosted by Penn Legacy for the 8th year!

Spring Goalkeeper Training Sessions

 

Thursdays, Mar 26 through May 16   Available to ALL Penn Legacy Premier | Travel goalkeepers -  these sessions will be conducted by qualified goalkeeping training staff.

Note to All Teams Practicing at East Pete this Spring
Fields will be installed shortly behind East Pete Elementary School (see below).  The map,  updated venue addresses and directions will be posted on the maps and directions pages of our Club website the week of 3/23.

 

 

A White line on a soccer field with green grass VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED
for field set-up day on Saturday, March 21st.  We will be installing 7 fields at Junction Center from 8:30am to 11am.  Volunteers can meet at the equipment shed.   We will also be installing 4 fields at East Pete Elementary from 9am to 11:30am.  Volunteers can meet in the school parking lot.  No special skills needed, and all are welcome.

PENN LEGACY SOCCER-A-THON - JUNE 13!  
Sign-up now! 
Penn Legacy will host a very special day coming up on Saturday, June 13th at Lanco Fieldhouse.  On that day we are trying to have a game of soccer going for 12 full hours, from 9 in the morning to 9 at night to raise money for the Four Diamonds Fund at Hershey Children's Hospital.  Learn more & register.

In 2015 the Club will award up to four, one-time $500 scholarships to Intramural players and up to four to Travel players (two to boys and two to girls in each category) graduating from high school in 2015 year. Applications must be postmarked (not hand delivered) by Thurs, April 30, 2015. Winners will be notified during May/June 2015.   Learn more

Important Reminders - Penn Legacy Fields Rules

  • Check the Penn Legacy Umbrella on our website for updates that impact practices or games
  • Pick up all trash when leaving the fields following practices and games
  • Read the Lightning Safety document
  • No Dogs or Pets at any field locations - This is in violation of our field usage agreements
  • No Drop off or Pick up of players along Junction Road
  • Parking info for Junction Road - Please read and share with guest teams also

 

 

Running beagle puppy with flying ears at the walk Dog and Pet Reminder - Dogs and pets are not permitted at any Penn Legacy field locations. We must ask that you keep your dogs and other pets at home, as having animals at the fields is in violation of our field agreements. Also, we want to ensure the safety of all our players, spectators and your dogs and pets. The best way to do that is to leave your pets at home.  Thank you!
