Things you need to know for camp next week!
Welcome campers!

Hello to all and thank you for signing up for this year's got skills? Camp with Seamus and staff.

Important!

All. as I'm sure you are already aware, the World Cup semi-finals are on this Tuesday and Wednesday.  Both kick off at 4pm with an expected end time of 5.45 to 6pm.  I know a lot of the kids are watching these games as they have been thrilling to say the least.  For this reason, I am going to put back camp on Tuesday and Wednesday to 6.30.  Camp will finish those two nights at 9pm (right about when we will lose the light).  We are fortunate that we can do this, I hope it doesn't inconvenience anyone too much, and I am looking forward to seeing all the kids on Tuesday!

  • Location:  Junction Center Fields - 1875 Junction Rd., Manheim, PA 17554 (see map) Meet in the lower gravel lot indicated on the map.
  • Please bring water, wear shinguards and DON'T FORGET to BRING A BALL!

Please arrive early to check-in.

  • got skills? with Striker/Goalkeeper camp- (6:30-9:00pm on Tues & Wed and 6-8:30pm on Thurs)
  • Camp is July 8, 9 and 10 (Tues, Wed, Thurs)

The main goal and focus for the camp is to really work on instilling good technique and good habits into the players.  Of course we will have all sorts of fun doing the exercises, but I just want you to be aware ahead of time that there will be lots and lots of repetitions to create as many quality touches on the ball as possible.  I do not have a magic wand to somehow make everyone better at soccer in 3 days, but I can show them what they need to do in order to improve their game, and give those crucial quality touches on the ball.  It will be hard work, and lots of similar looking exercises, so prepare your sons and daughters for a slightly different type of summer soccer experience.  No "sharks and minnows" at this camp!

I have a team of coaches coming this week to help me out, and they are all fantastic coaches.  We are all really looking forward to meeting and working with everyone and I am sure it is going to be a fabulous 3 days!

Thank you,

Seamus.

IMPORTANT - Weather Contingency:

Hopefully the weather will be glorious next week but I do have to prepare for the chance of adverse situations.  The camp WILL go ahead in the rain.  However the camp will NOT take place with any immediate threat of lightning storms.    Please refer to the front  page of the Penn Legacy Travel/Premier website if you have concerns about weather. We will make every effort to post info there as available.

If there is lightning in the area then the camp will be halted immediately, so bear that in mind if you leave the fields and be ready to return as soon as possible.  Even if we escape the storms it will still be very hot each evening so please send plenty of water in their backpacks.

Obviously we cannot inform you of any change that has to be made on the spot but you can always call Seamus with concerns on the night at 717 380 0044.
