There are many things about church planting/pastoring that I love, but nothing beats sharing Jesus with those who have never heard.
The last few weeks have reminded me of my time planting among immigrants in New Zealand. Time and time again I answered questions and shared Christ with people for whom it was the first time.
A few weeks ago a Korean university student who attends Journey brought a friend who had never been to church before. Yuri knows nothing of the gospel. Today as I drove them home Yuri began asking questions like, "why do you sing 'worthy is the lamb', what is so important about the lamb?". We talked but mostly I asked questions. As we said goodbye she said, "I have never believed in God, but I am becoming interested".
For our Mothers Day celebration today the Wang family brought a family from who had recently arrived from China. This family knows nothing of Christianity and were a bit freaked out, but loved the special stuff we did to celebrate mothers day.
With the launch of our new Series "Legacy", I got to speak into their lives about the unconditional love, and the forgiveness of God in Christ.
As good as all the rest gets, nothing beats the raw introduction of Jesus into lives who have never known.
