Those of us in ministry are accustomed to having people want to schedule an appointment with us to talk about something, but rarely do they tell us in advance what they want to talk about.  When someone says, "Pastor, can I set up a time to talk with you?",  it can make us a bit uncomfortable to ask follow up questions because we fear giving the impression we are too busy or cause the person to think we don't want to meet with him or her.  So we schedule the appointment, and then in the mean time we expend a lot of energy wondering what the person might want to talk about.

David Kinnaman, one of the most important research voices today concerning religion in America, will be on the Anderson University campus February 12 and 13.  On February 12, Kinnaman will speak in the AU Chapel at 11 am and then from 6 to 8:45 pm in the Adam Miller Chapel of the School of Theology.  On February 13, Kinnaman will speak at a luncheon from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
