Led by Gary Bernath, the Lights Out Blues Band's repertoire is centered on what was arguably the golden age of the blues. Much of that soulful music was recorded in the 1950's and early '60's by the Chess brothers (Phil and Leonard) on Chess Records with harmonica giant Little Walter Jacobs figuring prominently in this great body of work. The band faithfully brings this music to life on stage along with the blues and rhythms of later artists such as Charlie Musselwhite, the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Sonny Landreth to name a few. Original tunes penned by Gary and Jim Atkinson round out the band's repertoire.

Sandwiches are served with your choice of

pub chips, hand cut house fries, potato salad,

Baked Haddock with Lobster Stuffing $11

Haddock pieces baked in butter, white wine and lemon juice. Topped with lobster seafood-panko breadcrumb stuffing. Served with brown butter smashed red skin potatoes and today's vegetable.

Double Dog Plate $10

Two buttered, toasted buns are topped with Kayem brand hotdogs and warm relish (sautéed onions, bacon, small white beans, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, cider vinegar and a dash of celery salt). Served with fresh macaroni salad.

 Lobster Roll $13

Nothing but lobster, a little mayo (a little!), white pepper, salt and lemon juice, on a buttered and grilled New England style hot dog bun with green leaf lettuce.

 Crispy Chicken Salad $11

A bed of romaine, shredded monterey jack cheese, diced tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, house made croutons and panko seasoned and fried chicken breast. Served with your choice of dressing.

Quiche, Side Salad & Bread $8

House made quiche of three-cheese blend (provolone, asiago and mozzarella) is served warm with melted three-cheese blend on top with a side salad and a slice of Ale House brick oven bread.

Shaved Steak Hoagie $10

Shaved prime rib with caramelized onions and mushrooms topped with melted swiss cheese and placed on a lightly toasted hoagie. Roll is spread with smoky horseradish sauce.

Turkey Dinner $10

Sliced turkey breast served hot with our famous mashed potatoes, today's vegetable and gravy.

 Veggie Lasagna $10

House marinara sauce, lasagna noodles, zucchini, summer squash, spinach, three-cheese blend (provolone, asiago and mozzarella), stewed tomato and seasoned ricotta cheese. Served with a slice of house made brick oven garlic bread.

 Haddock Basket & Fries $9

Fresh haddock chunks breaded and deep fried in 0% trans fat oil. Served with tartar sauce, lemon wedge and hand cut house fries.

Steak Tip Stir Fry $10

A sauté of teriyaki marinated steak tips, broccoli, zucchini, summer squash and garlic in butter tossed with soba noodles and a dash of teriyaki sauce. Served with a slice of house made brick oven garlic bread.

Italian Calzone $10

House pizza dough is stuffed with sweet sopressata, prosciutto, spicy capicola, mortadella, roasted red peppers, fresh basil, pepperoni and three-cheese blend (provolone, asiago and mozzarella). Served with a side of house made marinara sauce.

Parmesan Peppercorn Shaved Steak Thick Crust Pizza $12

House made pizza dough is topped with a parmesan peppercorn, our house three cheese blend (mozzarella, asiago and provolone), shaved steak, bacon crumbles and crimini mushrooms. Garnished with onion straws.

A berry-filled moist white cake layered with light and fluffy Mascarpone filling.

About Gardner Ale House

Gardner Ale House is the only brewpub & restaurant in Worcester County. It is a family style pub and restaurant featuring fresh, bistro style food in an upscale setting. The brewery offers several distinctive, house made brews and continues to develop new recipes.

 

The restaurant distinguishes itself through the use of fresh, unfrozen and unprocessed products. Menu selections are both ordinary and eclectic, but always of a high quality and very interesting.
