As a member of AYPO, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to grow as a musician in one of the nation's premier youth orchestra programs. You will study and perform some of the great masterpieces of orchestral literature with many talented colleagues, all working toward the goal of presenting a concert performance at a professional level. Along the way, you will have the chance to perform in state-of-the-art concert halls, be coached by some of the most accomplished musicians in the area, and form great friendships. As Music Director, it is my personal goal to awaken possibilities in every musician so that you can achieve your highest potential. Eligible Applicants: AYPO accepts musicians up to age 21 on strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, harp, and piano. Applicant should have at least two years of experience on the instrument and be currently enrolled in private lessons. AYPO accepts applicants based on their musical ability without regard to gender, race, religion, disability, or income (full and partial scholarships available). All musicians are required to audition each season; annual open auditions ensure that the most qualified instrumentalists have the opportunity to participate and that AYPO is comprised of the highest quality orchestras.

Welcome, Pianists! For the first time ever, pianists have the opportunity to be a part of AYPO! Pianists will auditon as members of the new Chamber Ensemble Program and will perform orchestral works throughout the season.

How to Apply (Deadline: April 10, 2013)
Complete the application and submit with non-refundable $40 fee. You can pay the fee online with credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or mail a check to the office (made payable to AYPO).
