Eric Schnobrick starts as General Manager on Monday, November 19, and plans to visit all orchestra rehearsals, along with Assistant General Manager Alison Lowell. Feel free to introduce yourselves to our newest team member! In 2002 Eric earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the State University of New York College at Fredonia. In 2006, he earned two Master of Music degrees in Accompanying and in Opera Coaching from Florida State University. Since graduating, Eric has been Assistant Conductor for the Fort Worth Opera and the New National Theatre YAP (Tokyo), Interim Assistant Chorus Master/Conductor for the Palm Beach Opera (Florida), Staff Conductor/Coach/Accompanist for the Seagle Music Colony (New York), Resident Artist Coach/Accompanist for the Minnesota Opera, Artistic Events and Music Manager at Glimmerglass Festival (New York), and Accompanist for the Alexandria Choral Society (Virginia). Before relocating to the Washington, D.C. area, Eric spent five seasons working for the Glimmerglass Festival in Cooperstown, New York. His years as the Artistic Events and Music Manager provided extensive experience working with people throughout the festival family, including the artists, orchestra, patrons and donors, stage managers, A/V crews, and front of house staff. He planned events and performances, organized and managed auditions to find the required artists, and coordinated the rehearsals necessary to make those performances successful.
