A Message from the Chalfont Borough Police Department:

Attention Real Estate Agents in Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties:

As many of you are aware, Chalfont Borough Police with assistance of Warwick TWP PD, Whitpain TWP PD, and Abington TWP PD, as well as the Bucks County Association of Realtors®, has made an arrest of an individual responsible for multiple thefts from open houses. These thefts have occurred in multiple jurisdictions in both Bucks and Montgomery counties over the past two years.

The woman responsible may have also taken prescription drugs from medicine cabinets

Sommer Johnson
or made "slip and fall" claims to the agent holding the open house. She often had a young female child, age 11 years, with her.  The woman has been identified as Sommer Johnson and is shown in the photo to the right.

We have recovered a substantial amount of jewelry and miscellaneous items linked to these thefts. Several items have been returned to their owners; however the majority of seized jewelry has yet to be claimed by potential unidentified victims.

The Chalfont Borough Police will hold a public viewing of the remaining property on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.  The showing will be held at Chalfont Borough Hall, located at 40 N. Main St. Chalfont, PA 18914

If you believe you have a client who has been a victim of theft, and in the past two years have held an open house where items may have gone "missing", please contact them and forward this information.

Please advise your clients they should bring with them some form of identification for their property such as receipts, pictures, or police reports.  Please contact Officer Josh Albillar with any questions.  215-822-2606 x151
