Who May Have a Copy of the Inspection Report?

This question gets lots of playtime on the Legal Hotline. The inspector was hired to perform an inspection for a specific buyer and can understandably take umbrage to find out that the seller gave copies of his report to umpteen other prospective buyers who never paid a dime. Then again, I have run into inspectors who take umbrage when the buyer for whom it was performed gives a copy to the seller. Click here to read more

Notice Regarding License Renewal Fee for 2014

Please note that for this renewal period an additional $10 is being assessed to every real estate licensee to replenish the Real Estate Recovery Fund by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission. This fee is assessed per person/entity, not per license. For those individuals that hold multiple active licenses (i.e. - Broker Sole Proprietor and/or Broker-Multi License), the individual will only pay the $10 once and not for every license held. If an individual has multiple licenses and is paying online, they will be notified separately concerning payment of the $10 fee. The license renewal deadline is May 31, 2014. Open House Alert

A REALTOR held an Open House on Sunday in Feasterville.....A guy came into an open house and seemed to have genuine interest in the home. Talked up the agent for a little and then seemed to have a significant amount of interest in the kitchen cabinets. Kept going over to them and opening them up. Asked what they were made of and how old they were. At that point the agent became more alert because the cabinets were nothing special. The guest asked the agent if she could bring water out to his kids who were sitting in the car and she told him that he could do it. He ignored her and went back into the kitchen and then left right after that last trip in. Click here to read more
