Hello From Hilary

Holy announcements, Batman! I am thrilled to share with you our first official music video! AJ and I chose the song Flowers on Mars for this special project, filmed by St. Louis' own talented Brian Cummings. We were honored to win Americana/Folk Album of the Year 2014 for Flowers on Mars from the National Traditional Country Music Association, and listeners have really been connecting with the song. The video outlines the arc of the song's story by starting in a bleak urban "nightmarescape" but gradually moving to a spacey "dreamscape" as the song progresses. We had a great time filming it both in the studio and also in multiple parts of an abandoned sewing factory in St. Louis, creeping around rotten floorboards, abandoned machines, and filming on the roof ten stories high, right as a storm started kicking up. Lip-synching and play-synching instruments to our song approximately 30 times that day was exhausting and exhilarating. We hope you enjoy the video!       Flowers On Mars Video

We also are excited to unveil our brand new website. We think the new design nicely reflects our latest project, Freight Train Love, and we hope you will have fun with the changes. Check it out!    New website design at hilaryscott.com

Thank you endless amounts to all of our Indie Go Go supporters! Our stretch goal was $10,000 and we exceeded that!  Many of you opted to purchase original songs or my version of covers you choose, so I have been working on that in any spare time we have on the road.

First press of CDs is out, and t-shirts are being printed soon, too. Our publicity and radio campaigns start within the next month. YOU all helped make this happen for us. We are hoping you love the project and we for sure love you!  As we get CDs pressed, t-shirts printed, and songs recorded, we near distribution of the Indie Go Go perks we promised! Let me say, again, how amazingly generous you were for your contribution to our project, and our dream. We hope you love the new record, and whatever other items you purchased through the campaign.
