Hello sweet summer! And hello sweet supporters!

Life is changing fast for AJ and me, as we head into a full-time touring schedule. UK, west coast, southwest, south, northern Midwest-we are aiming to hit a lot of areas before the end of 2013. An exciting vinyl release and Los Angeles recording project are scheduled, as well as a professional video and tons more. I get excited and a little shaky just thinking about all we have accomplished, and all we have to get done in such a short period of time. Knowing you are there to cheer us along the way helps immeasurably!

Oh, and a special shout-out to our house concert hosts - mixing up a long tour of clubs and venues with the intimate and relaxed environment of a house concert helps keep us sane! See you along the way!

The Hilary Scott Band and Hilary Scott and The New County Line will take the stage at 10:15. Ruth Acuff will perform her original music for voice and harp, and opening the show will be Dylan McCord.

Hilary Scott and AJ Gennaro will leave for the UK on July 11th to complete a two-week tour. Following their return to the US, they will spend three weeks on the road, performing in MO, CO, ID, WA, OR, and CA

Flowers on Mars, the first project Hilary has released on vinyl, will be initially available in pre-release, limited-edition, collector's format only. Copies are limited and will be hand-numbered and signed. It will be available for purchase on the website and at shows only. As a thank you to her longtime Columbia, MO fans, Hilary will unofficially release the vinyl at The Blue Note on Saturday, June 29th. Specially designed t-shirts and posters will also be available in conjunction with this release. Ruth Acuff is a featured performer at the release as well. Official national release of Flowers on Mars will occur in September.

Aarik Danielsen of the Columbia Tribune will be writing up a special feature on Hilary Scott prior to the Blue Note release, so keep a look out!

Columbia-area radio is also providing special support. Tony Barbis of 102.3 FM (BXR) will focus on Hilary Scott and Ruth Acuff's music on Sunday, June 23, from 6-9 am. KOPN 89.5 FM and KCOU 88.1FM are also offering on-air support. Listen in if you get a chance!

In May, Hilary went to Seattle and spent two songwriting-intensive days collaborating with Michael O'Neill. The two co-wrote four new songs, and aim to record the four tracks in August in Los Angeles with Johnny Lee Schell(guitarist for Bonnie Raitt, collaborator with Jim Belushi, studio where Little Feat and many more recorded).

Hilary Scott and AJ Gennaro plan to commence a Kickstarter campaign around the Flowers on Mars concept...the goal of which will be to compile songs Hilary has written and recorded in various locations and with different songwriters, into one project showcasing a variety of styles and purposes. Furthermore, the campaign will aim to help bring the promotion of the project to fruition with a continued focus on national and international touring and exposure. The Flowers on Mars concept is also a personal one for Hilary, and the story of how she wishes to be a living tribute to her brother (as well as the story behind her name) will be revealed in the project.

During June, July, and August, the remaining three Nashville project tracks will be released. (Just a Shame was the first to be released). Look for updates and availability on iTunes and www.hilaryscott.com
