How Your Church Can Get Involved in Fall Festival

Ezekiel Project
The Ezekiel Project, led by Laurene Bowers, will be held again this year beginning in September.

Ezekiel is a 10 month assessment program (with homework) to help congregations make decisions about their future.
  • If your congregation is wondering what to do and where to go from here and how to attract new members, this may be a good opportunity for conversation.
  • If your congregation is trying to make a decision about staying open or closing, this program will offer a variety of options for your church to prayerfully consider.
  • If your congregation is stuck in denial or just a few people are doing the work for many, strategies will be suggested to try to get everyone involved.
The pastor and three to five members of the congregation will attend monthly sessions to be held on Sunday afternoons from 2 to 4 at Colonial Park UCC, Harrisburg. Refreshments will be served.

Topics covered will include Hospitality, Worship, Neighborhood Demographics, Invitational Events, etc.

Only ten churches will be accepted into this year's group to allow for more interaction among the participants and to tailor the assessment tool to each individual congregation. The first ten churches to express interest will be the ones accepted. Email Laurene Bowers to become part of this year's Ezekiel Project!

All prophet projects are available to every congregation in the Penn Central Conference at no cost thank to Our Church's Wider Mission!

For most congregations, going green sounds like the right thing to do. Whether their support begins as a general concern for the environment, a commitment to caring for God's Creation, or a desire to save money, most members like the idea of being greener. But then what? Where do you begin? How much will it cost? This workshop will help you answer these questions.
