Strong Boundaries Make Strong Congregations
 Boundary Awareness Training
for the Laity of Local Churches

Saturday, September 26, 10am-3:30pm
Conference Office, Harrisburg

NO FEE

The members of a congregation (a.k.a. laity) need to be aware of establishing and maintaining wise, healthy boundaries within their congregational settings. They, just as the pastor, need to understand how boundaries give definite shape to the local congregation's ministry. They, too, need awareness concerning the impact of appropriate versus inappropriate boundary-keeping in promoting the health and effectiveness of the congregation's vitality.

Facilitator: Thom Webster

For most congregations, going green sounds like the right thing to do. Whether their support begins as a general concern for the environment, a commitment to caring for God's Creation, or a desire to save money, most members like the idea of being greener. But then what? Where do you begin? How much will it cost? This workshop will help you answer these questions.

Partners in Peace
The Partners in Peace Committee invites anyone interested in being part of the team planning the 2016 Partners in Peace Experience to attend the next planning team meeting on Saturday, August 29 at 9:30am at the conference office.

The committee also needs individuals who are skilled in drafting grant requests to share their talents. Grant money funded much of the 2013 Partners in Peace Experience, which was a wonderful success, and we are hoping for the same for the 2016 adventure.

Anyone interested in Partners in Peace or offering their services to the committee should contact Peter Emig at 717-552-0435 or 717-263-3616.
