The early deadline for the Mid-Winter Convocation is approaching. We also have added our final 50th Anniversary Event, a show at the York Little Theatre. Don't forget to sign up for the 50th anniversary luncheon featuring still speaking devotional writer, Quinn Caldwell.  

We are very foturnate to have one of our own clergy, Holly Miller Shank, as Minister and Team Leader of the UCC's Ministerial Excellence, Support & Authorization Team in Cleveland. Beginning this month, she will be providing an informative article each month on the UCC. This month's article is on Boundaries. Check it out.

NEW DIRECTORY IS IN THE MAIL
All clergy and churches will be receiving the new pictorial conference directory next week. We have had many updates since the directory went to press.

LOCAL CHURCH TREASURERS NOTE
Upon recommendation from our auditors, the Penn Central Conference Board of Directors indicates that the conference office will only be able to post to 2012 financial statements any checks that come postmarked by December 31, 2012. Checks that arrive at the conference office postmarked with a 2013 date will show up in your first quarterly statement in 2013, rather than in yoru year-end statement for 2012. Please feel free to call the office at 717-652-1560 with any questions.
PCC CONFIRMATION RETREAT PLANNING
 It's time to start planning the PCC Confirmation Retreat for this year. The dates are March 1-3 and the cost of the retreat will be $85 per person. The initial planning meeting will be Tuesday, December 4, 10am at the conference office. Bring your thoughts, questions and enthusiasm to this planning meeting. Come even if you are not sure you will be participating. If you cannot make the meeting or have questions, contact Bruce Druckenemiller at 717-667-2431.

HURRICANE SANDY RELIEF EFFORTS
Florence Coppola, UCC Executive of National Disaster Ministries asked us to share with you that emergency clean-up buckets and school kits (Many of the children in these areas lost all of their school supplies.) are desperately needed by Church World Service. 
  
Cash donations can also be made through the UCC.
