The message in these photographs is the photographer's spontaneous joy and reaction to the visual wealth of a culture with vast resources of texture, shadow, mystery, wonder, contradictions, and tonality.

Photographers who sign up will be required to send 4-6 jpg images (under 1mb each), a resume, and an artists statement to [email protected] prior to the review. The images should reflect the work that will be presented.
To reserve your slot, please call the PRC at 617-975-0600 on December 12 beginning at 10am. This opportunity is for PRC Members only and is offered on a first come, first serve basis.
Workshop Assistants Needed for Spring 2013

These competitive positions offer an incredible opportunity to aid master photographers and help the PRC run the workshops successfully. You have the opportunity to take a PRC workshop for FREE or at a REDUCED RATE if you sign up to be a presenter's assistant for the duration of the workshop! We prefer that volunteer assistants have basic experience with projectors, laptops, and the Internet as well as strong organizational skills.

Click here for a more detailed description of the requirements >>

Interested volunteers should email Erin Wederbrook Yuskaitis, Program & Exhibition Manager, at [email protected]. You must indicate for which workshop you are applying. Please attach a resume as a Word document or a PDF and include a short description of why you would like to be a workshop assistant in the body of your email. Thank you for your interest!

Lynn Saville, Pepsi Cola SIgn,  2008.

The Space in Between features artwork that focuses on societal built environments in urban settings. The images capture supposedly empty or vacant scenes in public spaces where humans are present without being pictured. The very absence of human subjects forces the viewer to contemplate the space in between these human-made structures. While firmly rooted in the 21st century, these photographs also portray a timeless feel, as if the artists froze the frame at the initial moment of abandonment, preserving a particular constructed expression of culture for generations to come.
