Join us for the Opening Celebration on April 4, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Extraordinary People Gallery - Special Guest Roz Savage!
Roz Savage - 5 Million Oar Strokes is a riveting story of a latecomer to the life of adventure. The exhibition chronicles Roz's journey as the first woman to row three oceans: the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian. Her awesome rowing vessel Sedna will be featured along with multi-media presentations that capture excerpts from her courageous feats.
Roz is a Yale World Fellow and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and International Fellow of the Explorer's Club of New York, and has been listed amongst the Top 20 Great British Adventurers by the Daily Telegraph. In 2010 she was named Adventurer of the year by National Geographic.
