Oklahoma Modernism Weekend!

The Oklahoma City Foundation for Architecture joins the Okie Mod Squad in hosting Oklahoma Modernism Weekend May 20-22.

Oklahoma is home to a treasure of mid-century modern architecture that many outside of the region know little about. To heighten awareness of our state's exciting architectural heritage, the Okie Mod Squad and the Oklahoma City Foundation for Architecture will be hosting the Sooner state's first-ever Okie Modernism Weekend on May 20, 21 and 22 in Oklahoma City at one of our most iconic mid-century buildings, the egg-shaped First Christian Church.

You can find our more about the events as well as sponsorship HERE.

Next Quarterly Tour
Main Street Arcade
Developer: David Wanzer
Architect: Butzer Gardner Architects

Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 9th at 5:30 p.m.

Main Street Arcade, built in 1921, is one of the last remnants of the historic downtown Main Street in Oklahoma City. It is prominently located in the midst of several significant developments in west downtown Oklahoma City. The immediate area is seeing a rebirth that should begin to take shape at the beginning of 2016.
