Recently, I had the occasion to attend the memorial for George Wood. Most of you knew him from Wood's Village in El Cajon.
It struck me that this overflow attendance of the memorial could be, in part, because of his zeal for whatever he was doing and for whomever he might be speaking. By zeal, I mean his focus and attention to life.
Some of us, I'm sure, go about our business - working, raising a family, play sports or pursue hobbies without concern of varying degrees of attention, but it's probably there.
With George, it seemed that there was one level of attention and interest ... high.
I think we have all learned the "be there when life happens" lesson from George Wood.
Note: Beginning with the 2nd quarter SDCFCA newsletter, we will note members of our trade who have passed away. Please let any one of our 12 board members know of a passing so we may include them.
