We are thankful to announce that Kiawah Island is open for business!
At Akers Ellis, we realize that a Kiawah vacation experience is more than your rental accommodations. It's the entire Kiawah package that you've come to know and love - beach, golf, tennis, dining.
On Tuesday of this week, our team was able to access Kiawah for the first time since the hurricane hit, and we are pleased to share an overall positive report.
- All roads are accessible and cleared of debris.
- Power has been restored to the island.
- Kiawah Island Community Association is diligently working to repair damaged boardwalks.
- On-island restaurants are open.
- Golf courses, tennis courts, and the nature center are open.
- The grocery store, restaurants, and shops in Freshfields Village are open.

On your marks, get set, and go... to the 39th Annual Marathon on Kiawah Island on December 10, where 26.2 miles (or 13.1 miles) have never looked so beautiful. The marathon starts and finishes in East Beach Village. Along the way, you'll enjoy spectacular views of maritime forests, marshes, and grand homes, as you run throughout the Island community. The only thing more wonderful than the scenery is the moment when you cross the finish line, after completing your full or half marathon!
