Executed by the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, the event is one of the most highly anticipated culinary events in the Charleston area. It is an opportunity to enjoy the world-renowned cuisine of the Lowcountry as participating restaurants offer prix fixe lunch and dinner menus. Click here for participating restaurants.
Held on September 18, the Tri-Kiawah is a USAT-sanctioned intermediate distance competition. Featuring a .7-mile ocean swim, 25.1-mile bike and 6.1-mile run around beautiful Kiawah Island, this triathlon is sure to be popular among locals and visitors alike. Click here to view the course map.
Freshfields Village Fall Festival is October 8 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. This free, family-friendly event will feature a variety of activities for each generation. Enjoy live music as you browse a fall Farmer's Market featuring seasonal goods and produce along with an art show featuring the Kiawah & Seabrook Artist Guilds. Kids will enjoy complimentary face painting, inflatable games, mechanical bull, and fall crafts. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from a variety of local vendors.
Fall is Charleston's best-kept secret. With pleasant weather and light crowds, what could be better than to take advantage of the many opportunities the Preservation Society has arranged? Whether it is one of the self-paced walking tours of private houses and gardens, a "Living in History" lunch lecture, a plantation tour, or an "Up-close and Personal" tour, there is something for everyone. The tours run October 6-30. Click here for more details and to buy your tickets.
