AFeeling the Love
The Charleston area has been making headlines all over our favorite traveler magazines. It's easy to see why everyone that lives here refuses to leave, and everyone that visits falls in love. We are a friendly city with amazing food and beautiful scenery. What else could you want?!
Kiawah Island, Ranked #3 in Top 10 U.S. Islands
Kiawah has always been near and dear to our hearts, of course, but to have Kiawah ranked #3 in the US by the readers on Conde Nast Traveler... well it just shows that we aren't playing favorites. And, by the way, the only two islands that beat us are in Hawaii; we can only do so much!
Charleston, SC, Ranked #1 in Friendliest Cities in the U.S.
For the second year in a row, readers of Conde Nast Traveler have named Charleston the Friendliest City. If you've ever visited, it's easy to agree. The southern charm oozes from the streets of Charleston. And, really, what do we locals have to complain about? We're just happy to be here and happy you're visiting!
Charleston, SC, Ranked #12 Best Place to Live in the U.S.
Conde Nast Traveler isn't the only place we're feeling the love! Outside Magazine readers voted Charleston as the #12 place to live! The locals completely agree. There is always something going on to keep the whole family entertained and we can't help but brag once again about the culinary scene.
TSea Turtle Update

Is it just us, or does it seem everything - nature related - is happening a month or two later than normal this year? We can only assume it's due partly to the strange weather and delayed summer that we've all experienced. In the turtle world, the same has been true. It appears turtle season may last longer than normal this year! More nests have just recently been found on Kiawah Island, bringing our total nest count up to 123 at this point. We can't believe our mama turtles are still not finished!

With Labor Day just around the corner, what better way to spend it than to make your way to Kiawah Island and experience the beauty of baby sea turtles? This is an event that the entire family can enjoy, so call us to make a reservation and pack your bags! Salty and his friends would love to see you before the season slips away. Keep up with Salty and the sea turtles here.
