Come kick off spring on the Freshfields Village Green with the Sea Island Food Truck Rodeo (SIFTR). This event, which benefits Angel Oak Elementary School students, will take place on Sunday, April 6 from 12 - 4 p.m. Food trucks from all across the Lowcountry will be offering up delicious food and drinks. Scotty's Ride For Water
April 13 - 17, South Carolina
Did you know that every 21 seconds, a child dies from water-related disease? When Scotty Parker heard that statistic, he knew he wanted to help. Did we mention, Scotty is not even ten years old? Scotty and his family have joined forces with Water Missions to help build a better tomorrow. Water Missions International is a nonprofit Christian engineering organization providing sustainable safe water and sanitation solutions for people in developing countries and disaster areas. And they're based right here in Charleston! Scotty and his family are riding across South Carolina (approx. 230 miles) to teach people about Water Missions and what they are doing.
