The Charleston Symphony Orchestra returns to Freshfields Village under the big tent to perform a rousing, family-friendly pops concert. The concert is paid for by the Town of Kiawah Island and is free and open to the public.

Charleston Cup SteeplechaseNovember 10, 12 PM, The Plantation at Stono Ferry, HollywoodCome see the 20th running of the Charleston Cup. Sanctioned by The National Steeplechase Association, the Cup has become one of the premier sporting events in the Carolina Lowcountry, offering spectators the opportunity to experience live horse racing at its finest.
ESPN Charleston ClassicNovember 21-24, College of Charleston's TD ArenaThe 2013 Charleston Classic, a men's college basketball tournament, will feature a bracket format with 12 games over three days. Each team will compete in one game per day, advancing through the bracket. The two teams that remain undefeated throughout will face off in a championship game on the final day of competition.
Santa in the LowcountryNovember 30, 3-5 PM, The Sanctuary Hotel
Come witness as Santa and Mrs. Claus make their grand arrival on Kiawah Island. Kids of all ages are welcome to visit with Santa as parents get the opportunity for a picturesque holiday card. After visiting with Santa, join Mrs. Claus for cookie decorating. Sweet treats and holiday creations will be available on the Grand Lawn during the activities.

Entering its 36th year, the Kiawah Island Marathon starts and finishes in East Beach Village. Enjoy maritime forest, marsh views, and grand homes as you run through the island community. View the full and half courses. Limited entries are available. Register online by December 11.
