To better understand utility pole purchasing/disposal and pole plant management practices, NAWPC and Osmose Utility Services have created an online survey and are requesting your valuable input.

Get your registration in now as wood pole seminar filling quickly
 If you are planning to attend the free Wood Pole Structure Design seminar Sept. 23-25 in Charlotte, NC, you better get registered today. The 2-1/2 day seminar is limited to 40 attendees and more than half the seats are filled in the first few weeks since registration opened. The session features in-depth instruction on how to design is wood electrical distribution structures and is available at no charge to utility and coop personnel. For others, the fee is $795 per attendee.
Topics covered include: calculating strength and maximum allowable spans for wind and ice loading, guy loading due to tension and wind, and non-design aspects of wood pole structures. Those completing the seminar, sponsored by NAWPC and HiLine Engineering, will earn18 Professional Development hours.
