International Museum Day + Member's Appreciation Day

Wednesday, May 18
9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Members: free admission for you and up to four guests. Non-members: one free admission with each paid admission.

Reynolda House will join thousands of museums around the world in this celebration of International Museum Day. Exhibition sponsor Modern Automotive will also be announcing the winner of our landscape photography contest at 2 p.m. Find us on Snapchat at WakeReynolda.

Curator Allison Slaby will give a talk on Spring Turning (1936) by Grant Wood.

Director of Collections Management Rebecca Eddins will give a talk on the recently restored Forecourt Garden, designed by Thomas Sears.

Reynolda Thursdays

Date: Thursday, May 5
Time: 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Cost: $5 admission after 4:30pm. Admission is free for RAH passholders, Members of the Museum, students, and Wake Forest University employees.

Enjoy the exhibition after-hours, grab a cocktail with friends, and get some expert advice on how to earn more hearts on your next Instagram post in this drop-in photography workshop (funshop?) hosted by our friends at Sawtooth School for Visual Art. Tip: bring your camera!

Summertime Social

Date: Thursday, June 9
Time: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Cost: $15; $10 for Members of the Museum and students. Free for RAH passholders.

It's not officially summer until you've toasted with friends in Reynolda's back yard. Bring a blanket and enjoy food trucks, drinks from local vendors, lawn games, excellent music, and an after-hours opportunity to visit 


Classes & Wellness
Portals of Discovery: Yoga Outdoors

Date: Friday, May 20
Time: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Cost: $150 for six sessions; $120 for Members of the Museum and students.

Yoga Outdoors will begin with yoga-based movement practice on Reynolda's expansive lawns. The class will support students in developing the patience and attention to fully inhabit where they are, through their senses. No previous yoga experience needed. Find out more about this event.


Reynolda SKETCH: Scale and Light

Date: Saturday, May 14
Time: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Cost: Per session: $25 members/$35 non-members

Taking inspiration from the works of Ansel Adams, these two workshops will approach photographic process and how light can created a printed image.


Reynolda Read Aloud

Date: Friday, May 13
Time: 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Location: Mary and Charlie Babcock Wing Library 

In this program for pre-readers, we will read children's books and engage young visitors with activities that relate to the selected stories. For children ages 2-5, accompanied by an adult. Younger siblings are welcome to attend.
