The spring semester is in full gear and so is planning for many exciting alumni gatherings and offerings. We are kicking off 2013 with "Hoops & Hoopla," a fun-filled day of cheering on Caldwell's basketball teams, catching up with old friends, and a bloody mary bar. You can connect your company with our talented Caldwell students at our Career and Internship fair. We'll be honoring three distinguished alumni at the Veritas Awards Dinner for excellence in their fields. As we head into summer, we'll be gathering at Monmouth Race Track for Alumni Day at the Races. Caldwell College Pursues University Status
Caldwell College President Nancy Blattner, Ph.D., OPA, has announced that the college's Board of Trustees has unanimously passed a resolution charging the college to move forward with the necessary steps towards achievement of university status.
"This is certainly a defining moment in the history of Caldwell College and in its future," Blattner said. "The campus community is excited about the possibility of claiming the designation of university, a name that many of us believe already describes Caldwell College with the offering of our first doctoral program in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2009, our strong master's degrees in multiple disciplinary areas, and our diversity and growth."
A task force has been charged and is working to compile the proposal that will be submitted ultimately for approval to the Office of the New Jersey Secretary of Higher Education. The process is expected to take at least two years to complete. The college is hopeful that the announcement for the change in status from college to university will occur during Caldwell's 75th anniversary year of 2014-2015.

Building Our Future Bond Act Passes - Thank You For Your Support!
On November 6, 2012, New Jersey voters voted overwhelmingly to approve Public Question #1, "Building Our Future." The bond act authorizes approximately $52.5 million for 13 eligible independent schools in New Jersey. The use of these funds is restricted to construction and modernization of academic and research facilities. It is anticipated that Caldwell will see approximately $2 million of these funds.
President Blattner has approved a project that will upgrade the science building and its labs for the new nursing program. Other projects are also under consideration.
Every college and university receiving a capital project grant must provide its own funds to cover at least 25% of the cost of each project on campus.

The 2013 Career and Internship Fair

This event is designed for employers who want to meet and recruit students for both entry-level and internship positions.
If you are a decision-maker or involved in the hiring process for your company, please consider attending the Caldwell College Career and Internship Fair to meet with students and recruit for your business needs. You can also spread the word to colleagues and other organizations in which you are involved, or show your support by dropping in to mingle with our students, faculty and employers, and enjoy the vibrancy of the campus during this popular event.
Registration Fee: $50 (Includes lunch)
Fee will be waived for nonprofit organizations
The registration fee will include a six-foot table, two chairs, and light refreshments. In addition, we will provide a link to your organization's website on the Career Fair webpage.
