Happy holidays from Seattle!
2014 has been an exciting year at Dynon. Thank you so much for your support. We've had a lot of fun bringing out even more affordable avionics - including our new flagship SkyView Touch system - to the Experimental and Light Sport markets. We'll have even more news to share early next year. As a reminder, we'll be closed for a few days around Christmas.
All the best to you and your families over the holidays,
From all of us at Dynon Avionics

Time is running out for avionics under your tree...
|
Did you know that 100% of pilots that open a Dynon D2 on Christmas morning proceed to run around the house with it while making airplane noises? Or that the D2's box was carefully engineered to nestle under 98.5% of x-mas trees? Okay, that might be a stretch. But it's definitely true that pilots that fly behind our Pocket Panels love the safety backup that it's true attitude indicator offers. But don't just take our word for it. See what the pros say too.
If you have a pilot in your family that's been extra good (even if that pilot is you), a D2 Pocket Panel is the perfect way to let them know you've gone a bit overboard this year.

New SkyView Training Videos
|
For two years Kirk Kleinholz - our sales Manager and a CFII - has presented half-day SkyView training classes for new and prospective customers. This allows pilots to receive hands on training on the best practices for using SkyView while flying. We make these classes available as often as possible, both at our office in Woodinville and at airshows, but it's impossible to reach everyone in person.
In October, we filmed a special full-day class to turn into a multi-part video series. We're excited to announce that the first episode now available on The Dynon Channel on YouTube . We know that this will be a valuable tool for you to learn to use your SkyView system. We will continue to keep you up to date as we release the rest of the videos.

SkyView Hands-On Training Classes
|
We recognize that transition training is important before piloting a new airplane or airplane type. Our SkyView training classes are an ongoing series of hands-on 3.5 hour courses instructed by Kirk Kleinholz, CFII and Sales Manager for Dynon Avionics. For more information about classes see the Transition Training page on our website.
The next class will be at the US Sport Aviation Expo in Sebring, FL, in the Chateau Elan Hotel at the airport. The air-conditioned hotel conference room offers comfortable seating and a classroom-like environment with a full audio/visual presentation. Classes are structured with limited seating to ensure no more than 2 students at each SkyView display. We will hold two classes per day, focusing on VFR operating information, with time for questions during and after class. The information covered in both classes is the same, so please only sign up for one session.
Cost/Space Available:
- attendance is $25 for all attendees, and advanced reservations are required.
- class size is limited to 14 students, assuring hands-on practice for all, with no more than 2 students sharing each SkyView display.
- Non-pilot partners are welcome to attend, although if the class is full they may need to sit in the back.
Transportation:
- Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event.
1:00pm - 4:30pm EDT
