What Happens In Vegas....
On October 19th I flew to Las Vegas, Nevada to attend this year's LDI Trade Show.
Every year thousands of professionals from around the world attend the LDI Conference "...to see the latest gear in action, refresh their knowledge, and replenish their creativity. More than 300 exhibiting companies provide attendees with live demos and the opportunity for face-to-face discussions about equipment including: lighting, sound, projection, special effects...".
Once again it was an incredible conference! Be sure to stay tuned as we roll out some of our exciting new purchases!

A Match Made in Heaven!
On October 13th we had the pleasure of working with the Amalagamated Transit Union Local 113 at their 113th Anniversary Gala at the Sheraton Centre Grand Ballroom!
It was a wonderful event for us as we got to work with close friends and long time partners from IceCultures. With their ice and our fire we were able to help create a pyro centrepice to mark a special moment in the evening's program.
As the inspiring historical video of Local 113 ended the ice centrepieces at every table ignited on cue in a wonderful 40 second display of fire - a truly memorable moment for all of the guests!

It Never Gets Old...
If you can believe it, the disco ball, or mirror ball, is now over 100 years old! The first recorded accounts of a mirror ball were from 1897 in Boston. This stunning and simple effect will never grow old and will certainly be around for another 100 years.
This October's Toronto Fashion Week saw one of our oldest effects paired with one of Canada's youngest and wildest designers, Adrian Wu. You can see one of our 24" mirror balls at the top of the runway!
Always pushing boundaries in fashion and art, Wu says his Spring/Summer 2013 collection is inspired by the popular computer game BioShock.
