  • The Torah reading for Shemini Atzeret deals with a variety of laws which Israel must fulfill when they settle in their own land. These laws will help guarantee justice for all of the people. Among them are the following: Tithes, Year of Release, Release of Hebrew Slaves, and the observance of the Three Pilgrimage Festivals.
  • The Torah reading for Simchat Torah brings to a close the Five Books of the Torah. It consists of a final Blessing Poem of Moses and the report of Moses' death on Mt. Nebo.
