SHABBAT PARSHAT BEMIDBAR - Numbers 1:1 - 4:20
הסכום - Summary
- This Torah portion opens the fourth of the Five Books of Moses.
- Numbers describes the wanderings of the Israelites in the desert and shows how G-d watched over them at all times.
- In the sidra of Bemidbar, we learn how Moses was told to gather all the people, one month after the Tabernacle was build, and to take the first census of the Israelites.
- Each tribe was registered, family by family, and every able-bodied man of twenty years and over, fit for military service, was counted.
- The total of the census was 603,550.
- The Levites were placed in charge of the Tabernacle.
- G-d then ordered Moses to place the Israelites' tents around the Tabernacle. Each tent was to have a banner, showing the tribe to which it belonged.

Lag Ba'Omer Field Day
Thank you Mrs. Rebecca Morrison and Mrs. Patty Schwab for organizing a special, fun day for our students and teachers!
|
Field Day 2014 was a HUGE success thanks to the effort, good sportsmanship and team work of all the participants! Students participated in nine relay events, a school-wide baton relay, and the highly exciting Tug-of-Rope. As you can see from the smiles on the faces of students below, it was a fun day filled with ruach!
